Fred M Alsen    

 

Classically trained in the art of living well, Nationally Awarded Designer Fred M Alsen's work is infused with originality.

 

Recognized as a Chicagoland design tastemaker, Fred has been hand selected to create and execute four past projects for Chicago's American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Showcase Houses, as well as besoke cabinetry for World of Whirlpool's showroom.  Prior to beginning fma Interior Design, he worked for Home & Garden Television (HGTV), was much sought after kitchen & bathroom designer at some of Chicago's most prestigious showrooms.  There is no doubt he is an expert in color!  Fred was the showroom manager and color consultant for Chicago's Farrow & Ball, the UK based premiere luxury wallpaper and paint company.  

 

Additionally,  a kitchen Fred designed received the coveted distinction of being chosen as a Houzz.com "Kitchen of the Week".  With the thousands of kitchens this company see each week - this is a true refection of the uniqueness of his work!  He won the National Grand Prize for kitchen design for Blanco design competition, as well as have multiple projects featured in a National Cabinet Manufactures Catalogue.

Fred holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Design from Chicago's well respected FIDER accredited International Academy of Merchandising and Design.

 

When not collaborating with his design clients, Fred can be found spending time with his Black Standard Schnauzer, Fritz, researching current trends, and working with various charities.
